For the last year I have been mostly responsible for the running of the social media accounts for the University of Salford’s Alumni Engagement Team, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter.

During my time working the accounts we have seen large success, leading to high turn out of advertised events, many successful fundraising goals, and large social media traffic. Our followers are increasing regularly, communicating positively, and we’ve managed to maintain a 100% response record for our Facebook analytics.
I have taken on feedback and kept detailed records of the data from each individual post, finding out what does and doesn’t work for our particular audience. This allows me to build an ideal style of social media post for our particular audience.
Facebook: @Salfordalumni – Now risen to over 5000 followers
Twitter: @Salfordalumni – Now risen to over 4700 followers
LinkedIn: Salford Alumni (Official) Group – Now Over 8000 members

This also involved running multiple event and charity campaigns to completion.
This audience has been engaged with, not only socially, but as part of fundraising and event campaigns. Our 2019 London event registrants far outsize the amount from 2018 and 2017, and every fundraising campaign we have advertised thus far has managed to reach it’s goal due to the the huge support from our alumni contributors.

Alumni Jason Manford just donated £500 to our latest fundraiser campaign #Salfunni
